Covid-19 Update

The Speech Connections team is taking care of themselves and their families.  It has certainly been an interesting time to be a speech-language pathologist, specializing in communication.  We have all had to find new ways to keep connected and to communicate more effectively.   Temporarily closing the office and moving to a teletherapy platform was essential to protect our employees and the children that we see. Each of us hopes that each of you remain healthy and safe from the effects of COVID 19.

It has been so hard to go so many days without seeing each and every one of those smiling faces.  It’s time to fix that!  We will be scheduling individual “say hello” visits via phone call or virtual visits for the children that have been unable to participate in the teletherapy sessions.  Would your child like for us to read them a book, just say “hi”, or maybe to see Weaver?  Please reach out to Kathy or JoAnn (info@speechconnections.net).  We miss you and we can’t wait to hear from you.

Also, are you worried that your child might not maintain skills that they had learned in their sessions?  Please, reach out for ideas or materials to use until we can resume our services with you.  Your child remains an important part of the Speech Connections family and we want them to thrive and succeed, especially during these unusual times.

Please follow us on Facebook.  We will post resources and activities for children.  Please feel free to share your pictures and happy moments.

Be safe.  Stay healthy. Keep connected.
